Year 4 (12th grade):
Computer Mathematicsóduration = 3 trimesters or 2 semesters (180 days); an elective course based on student demand, designed to provide a basic mathematical understanding of binary, octal, and hexadecimal systems, computer architecture, machine language, and a basic introduction to discrete mathematics and computer logic. This course provides preparation for those students planning to further their education in computer science at the college or tech prep level. Cross-credit for either Computer Science or Mathematics majors.Trimester systemófall = binary, octal, and hexadecimal systems; winter = basic machine language and computer architecture; spring = discrete mathematics and computer logic.Semester systemófirst = binary, octal, and hexadecimal systems and basic machine language; second = computer architecture, discrete mathematics and computer logic.
