Applied Computer Technology Curriculum

"We must educate students for their future, not our past!" - David Thornburg

The following proposed Applied Computer Technology curriculum is being designed primarily for secondary education. The Computer Literacy course, which would be a core requirement for grades 8 or 9, is designed to provide all students with basic computer literacy skills. For those students in grades 10 to 12 who select Applied Computer Technology as their high school major, it provides an integration of knowledge, skills, and experiences in basic computer science, mathematical logic, and applied computer technology. Upon completion of this curriculum, students will be well prepared to further their education at the college or technical school of their choice. (Note: Each year's courses are linked to an abstract and the corresponding Technology EALRs (still pending final draft)).
