Brianna
Monster story 2007
Once upon a time, there was a monster named Dracula. He
lived at the Chester Park in Yakima. Everyone thought he was a mean monster
because he looked like a very slimy substance. He had bloody red eyes and
gray hair sticking straight up! Even his teeth were huge, they were as big
as a full grown piranha. His arms were as big as a baseball bat, they swung
like huge clubs at his side. Dracula slid under a slide scraping his belly
button that was as big as a baseball. Looking up he saw that the sun was
setting so Dracula jumped up and went into a cave on the other side of the
park. He was going in the cave because he was afraid of the dark and the
cave supplied light.
Quietly he lay down on a bed of pine needles close to
a torch. The clock chimed 10 in the morning, so Dracula lazily got up and
went to the mouth of the cave to get some breakfast.
Staring at the sky in amazement as tears rolled down his
cheeks and muttering nonsense. The sky was pitch black not one star could
be seen. It is ten in the morning? Dracula thought. How could that be? Sitting
in the mouth of the cave Dracula thought about why the sky was pitch black.
He thought and thought, but nothing came to mind. He thought so hard that
he didn't notice the sound of footsteps coming nearer and nearer. A shadow
cast over Dracula like a gigantic wave. Looking up Dracula let out a low
growl, but that didn't stop whatever was coming. Getting scared Dracula bravely
barked, " Who is there? " A soft voice answered him. It squeaked,"
It is me! " Then silence fell. What could it be? Dracula wondered. Could
it be a friend? Jumping up excitedly Dracula called out, " Who are you? "
The soft voice answered him again, but this time it said, " I am Brianna,
I wish that you will come with me to my school in Naches. " Then silence,
a very eerie silence. Finally Dracula said he would come and he did.
When he reached the Naches school he changed his name
to a much milder name which was Breezy. Breezy lived at Naches Intermediate
School for the rest of his happy life, and never once was he afraid of the
dark. For it was just his imagination that it was pitch black at the Chester
Park in Yakima.
